The Business Problem
Finance and academic administration teams at IIT Bombay were spending 15+ hours each week manually logging into SAP GUI, executing complex reporting variants, exporting large transactional spreadsheets, reconciling cost-center allocations, and manually emailing files to departmental heads.
The Engineering Solution
BHAR India engineered an autonomous background SAP extraction bot powered by UiPath and custom Python validation scripts. The bot runs on automated schedules, logs into SAP via secure credentials, queries reports, validates parameters against master charts, compiles audit-formatted Excel workbooks, and distributes them via encrypted SMTP channels.

Credentials are encrypted using Windows Credential Manager and UiPath Orchestrator Vault with AES-256 encryption, maintaining an immutable audit log of every report trigger.
What happens if SAP throws a timeout or lock error?▾
The robot has automated retry logic with exponential backoff. If three consecutive retries fail, it alerts the system administrator via SMS and email with detailed diagnostic screenshots.
